The Meals on Wheels Legacy Society is a very special giving opportunity which helps ensure the agency's future. It enables donors to touch the lives of seniors in need in our community well into the future, often without even having to write a check!
Consider these simple planned giving opportunities that does not require up-front cash:
- Make a gift of appreciated stock. Transfer stock to Meals on Wheels and receive a tax deduction for the full market value of the stock.
- Make Meals on Wheels the owner or beneficiary (or contingent beneficiary) of a life insurance policy.
- Designate Meals on Wheels as the beneficiary of an IRA, 401(k) or other retirement plan.
- Name Meals on Wheels in your will as a beneficiary of your estate. You can designate an amount, a percentage or a contingent amount for Meals on Wheels.
To Make a Bequest to Meals on Wheels, the Following Language May Be Used:
I give, devise or bequeath to Meals on Wheels Programs & Services of Rockland, Inc., 121 West Nyack Road, Nanuet, NY 10954 ____________ (state sum of dollars, indicate percentage of residue, or describe securities or property to be bequeathed) to be used for its general purposes (or indicate a specific purpose).
