Meals on Wheels' Thorpe Senior Center Art Exhibit
Free and Open to the Public: Meals on Wheels' own Thorpe Senior Center will hold an art exhibit on Friday, May 24th and Saturday May 25th from 11:00 am. to 3:30 pm The exhibit will be held at Dominican Convent, St. Martin's Room, Sparkill.
All programs rely on the support of volunteers
- Deliver meals to individuals who are homebound.
- Provide general assistance in Senior Centers and in the Adult Day Care Center.
- Assist at special events.
- Help our staff with with office tasks and other activities.
Volunteer Drivers Needed
Please consider volunteering to deliver meals to your homebound neighbors. Volunteer drivers are needed to deliver meals in:
- Nanuet/New City - Everyday
- Suffern - Monday and Fridays
- Sparkill/Orangeburg - Everyday
"Mutts n' Meows" Pet Food Pantry
Meals on Wheels is pleased to announce the grand opening of its "Mutts n' Meows" Pet Food Pantry this month. The first pet food supplies were provided to Linda Joy Vendura's Chihuahua, Coco Chanel, and to Joan Braca's Beagle, Star. both Linda Joy and Joan are members of the agency's Clarkstown/Pearl River Senior Center. The pantry, which will be based upon availability, was made possible by generous donations from The Catherine C. Reiley Charitable Foundation, Valley Cottage Animal Hospital, Oradell Animal Hospital, Pet Nutrition Center, and Hills Pet Food. Nanuet Patch
North Rockland Senior Center
The third time's the charm for members of the North Rockland Senior Center, who moved to a new location this month at the West Haverstraw Community Center, thanks to West Haverstraw Mayor John Ramundo who helped secure the new location for the seniors. Lohud
