Barbara Kohlhausen | CEO & President

As President and CEO since 2008, Barbara Kohlhausen has a long history with Meals on Wheels. She first began her career as program supervisor at the Agency's Social Model Adult Day Care Center, previously known as the STAR Program. She left the Agency to become founder and president of Cambridge Brokerage Group, a successful, independent insurance company in Nanuet, NY, but maintained her relationship with Meals on Wheels by serving on the Agency's Board of Directors and as chairman of the board.

Barbara, a CSW, brings a vast wealth of knowledge and experience to the Agency. A graduate of Dominican College with an MSW from Columbia University, she worked for the Department of Social Services in the Adult Protective Services Department for Rockland County, and Volunteer Counseling Service. Most recently she served three years as chairman of the Board of Directors of Hospice.

Jim Burton | Assistant Executive Director

Jim Burton has worked for the Agency since 1994. As Assistant Executive Director, Jim administers and supervises the areas of Food Service and Nutrition, Home Delivered Meals, Human Resources, Volunteer Programs, Transportation, the computer network and physical plant. Jim's generalist responsibilities call upon him to support all areas of Agency. He is a graduate of the Leadership Rockland, Class of 2010.

Stephen Kelly | Chief Financial Officer

Stephen Kelly joined the executive team at Meals on Wheels as Chief Financial Officer in 2010. Stephen oversees the Agency's nearly $4 million budget. He is responsible for preparation and analysis of the organization's income and expense statements, daily cash position and oversight of payroll and tax returns. His department handles all funding from local, state and federal programs as well as contracted services and fundraising. Stephen also oversees the collection and management of all agency data.

A graduate of Oxford University, Stephen worked in international banking in London, Chicago and New York, before settling in West Nyack with his family. He has been active for many years on the boards of several local not for profits, and volunteering for Meals on Wheels since 1999.

Marilyn Zurlnick | Director of Human Resources

As Director of Human Resources for Meals on Wheels, Marilyn manages all employee benefits and payroll operations. She also directs the clerical staff and acts as the Executive Assistant to the President & CEO and Board of Directors of the Agency.

Marianne Colucci RD, CDN | Director of Food Services & Nutrition

Marianne Colucci has worked for Meals on Wheels for more than twenty-five years. She is a Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist and a leader in the field of geriatric nutrition. As Director of Food Services & Nutrition, she is responsible for the complete operation of the Central Commissary. Marianne plans nutritionally balanced menus for all the programs along with the purchasing of food and supplies. She insures that the preparation and handling of food complies with county, state and federal sanitation codes. She also provides nutrition counseling and nutrition education to the Homebound, Day Care and Senior Center clients.

She is a member of the American Dietetic Association, Consultant Dietitians for Health Care Facilities, the Westchester Rockland Dietetic Association and Aging Services Dietitians of New York State.

Ilsa Svoboda | Director of Social Work Services

Ilsa Svoboda, MSW, joined Meals on Wheels Programs and Services in March 2011. A graduate of Fordham University, Ilsa specialized in gerontology as well as clinical counseling of individuals and families. Prior to Meals on Wheels, Ilsa worked as a social worker for Hospice and at White Plains Hospital. She also holds a certification as an anxiety and phobia specialist. Here at Meals on Wheels, Ilsa supervises the social work staff, as well as counsels the families of the homebound meal program, Bobbie Lewis adult social day program, and the senior centers.

Jean LaBosco | Senior Centers Coordinator

Jean LaBosco joined Meals on Wheels Programs & Services of Rockland, Inc. as the Community Outreach Coordinator in April, 2011. Today, Jean is responsible for managing our five senior centers while meeting the goals and objectives of the agency. Her focus will be to ensure that the centers are operating effectively, while promoting programs that provide for the health, safety and social well-being of its members.

Jean's background is in human resources management and she has extensive experience in recruitment, training and EEOC compliance. She has worked for both a management consultant firm and a multi-national electronics company.

Cheryl Croce | Supervisor
Marie Porrovecchio | Fundraising Manager

Marie Porrovecchio, a long time Rockland County resident, began working as fundraising manager for Meals on Wheels in November 2011 after a long career in nonprofit fundraising management. She was previously the Director of Special Events at the Rockland Unit of the American Cancer Society. Marie is currently in charge of managing agency fundraising events including the Harvest Moon Gala, annual golf outing, Walk Away Hunger/ Bill Fortune Memorial Run, the senior walk, and first annual Wags For Wheels Dog Walk. Marie also handles all direct mail appeals and major news events, works closely with the Agency's grant writer, and acts as liaison with the Board of Directors in all aspects of fundraising.

Madelyn Schiering | Grants & Donor Communications Manager

Maddy Schiering has more than twenty years of experience in non-profit administration. Before joining the staff of Meals on Wheels in 2009 she held positions such as Chief Operating Officer, Director of Development and Conference Director at a NJ based non-profit. She holds a B.S. from Cornell University as well M.B.A. and M.P.A. degrees from the University of Texas at El Paso. In her current role, Maddy is responsible for all aspects of foundation grant management as well as for publishing the agency's e-newsletter, managing the donor database, publicity support, and working closely with the Fundraising Manager, in all aspects of development.

Sharon Martini | Volunteer Coordinator
Greg Carino | Transportation Coordinator

As Transportation Coordinator, Greg supervises all Agency bus and truck drivers, along with overseeing the operation and maintenance of the Agency's fleet of vehicles. He also supervises the delivery of homebound meals to strategic locations around the County.

Greg's experience as the former Meals on Wheels and Transportation Coordinator for the Mid-Bronx Senior Citizens Council made him the perfect fit for our program. He is a certified New York State Defensive Driving Course Instructor and is a licensed New York State In-car Driving Instructor.
