Meals on Wheels is pleased to announce the following grants recently awarded to the agency:

Macy's

The agency gratefully acknowledges a generous $5,000 contribution toward the Homebound Meal Delivery Program from Macy's. Macy's has generously supported Meals on Wheels Programs & Services of Rockland for the past several years.

Capital One has generously donated $5,000 in support of the Meals on Wheels Programs & Services of Rockland's Homebound Meal Delivery Program. The agency is very grateful for Capital One's continued support.

People's United Bank Community Foundation

People's United Bank Community Foundation has generously donated $5,0000 in support of the Meals on Wheels Programs & Services of Rockland's Homebound Meal Delivery Program. This grant will help us provide meals for those in need and will truly make a difference for Rockland seniors.

BJ's Charitable Foundation

Meals on Wheels is pleased to announce a $10,000 grant from BJ's Charitable Foundation to purchase food for the Homebound Meal Delivery Program. The agency truly appreciates BJ's generosity and continued commitment.

Walmart Foundation

The Walmart Foundation and the New York Advisory Council of the Foundation's State Giving Program have generously donated $25,000 in support of the agency's Homebound Meal Delivery Program. Walmart is an ardent supporter of hunger relief as this is an integral part of the Foundation's work. Meals on Wheels Programs & Services of Rockland is very grateful for the Foundation's support to help feed more people in need.

Wells Fargo

The agency gratefully acknowledges the generous donation of $2,500 from Wells Fargo. The funds will go towards subsidized meals for the Homebound Meal Delivery Program and help seniors reach better health outcomes.

First Niagara

Meals on Wheels gratefully acknowledges the very generous grant contributions of $8,450 towards the Homebound Meal Delivery Program and $1,500 in recognition of the agency's efforts to maintain meal delivery to the homebound during the days following Superstorm Sandy.

The agency gratefully acknowledges the very generous grant contribution of $16,900 towards the Homebound meal Delivery Program. This grant will help us provide meals for those in need and will truly make a difference for Rockland seniors.

Key Bank Foundation

Thank you to the Key Bank Foundation for $1,000 in charitable support for the Homebound Meal Delivery Program. Key Bank has generously supported Meals on Wheels Programs & Services of Rockland for the past several years.

Pfizer

Thank you to Pfizer for the following very generous donations: a $5,000 grant allocated as part of Pfizer's Community Outreach Funds. $2,400 in proceeds from the Pfizer Community Outreach Committee's annual Car Show, and a $1,000 grant in support of the volunteer hours of Pfizer employee Yaroslava Bulynko has committed to our Bobbi Lewis Adult Day care Program. The agency truly appreciates Pfizer's strong support.

The agency gratefully acknowledges an in-kind gift of $2,500 from the Stop and Shop Supermarket Company. This generous gift will be used to support many of our programs, including the Homebound Meal Delivery Program and the Senior Center programs.

IBM

Meals on Wheels is pleased to announce a $500 Community Grant Award for the Music Makers Program from IBM. This grant was made to recognize the volunteer efforts of IBM retiree Denis Riney. We thank Denis for his continued service and for his assistance in securing this grant.

Walmart Local Community Contribution

Through the efforts of our local Walmart store in Airmont, the agency is the beneficiary of a generous $1,000 contribution from the Walmart Foundation’s Local Community Contribution/Hunger Outreach Grant Program. Meals on Wheels is very grateful for Walmart's continued support.
